OREO Ice Cream Cupcakes

Hello all students of Trailside Middle School, it’s 2018 now! Man, I haven’t wrote one of these since last year, heh heh. Anyways, today we will be making OREO Ice cream cupcakes, which are cupcakes made of ice cream with an oreo on top that is covered in sprinkles. They sound good, hopefully, so let’s get started!

First, you must make sure your hands are clean and clear, you are hungry, and you must also make sure all your ingredients are not expired and that they are all ready to be made into a yummy snack.

Anyways, onto the recipe!

The Ingredients are as follows:

  • 18 OREO Cookies, divided
  • 3 Tbsp. of melted butter.
  • 1 qt. (4 cups) cookies and cream ice cream (or whatever ice cream you want! That will determine the FLAVOR!)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup (Again, this is optional)
  • 1-1/2 cups thawed frozen whipped topping
  • 1 Tbsp. multi-colored sprinkles
  • Muffin cups.

Oooh, how yummy sounding! Now for the Instructions. Please be aware that this dish takes around 3 hours to make.

Instructions:

  • Cut 6 of the 18 cookies in half and reserve for later. Finely CRUSH the remaining cookies.
  • Combine the cookie crumbs as well as the melted butter; press on bottom of 12 cupcake muffin cups.
  • Top each cupcake with 1 scoop ice cream, using a ⅓ cup scoop. If you chose to have it, douse it in syrup, top it all off with whipped topping. Then add sprinkles, and the half reserved cookies.
  • Freeze for 3 hours.

As predicted, I will state my opinion on this yummy tasty snack! Before I do though, I wanna say that I’ve also loved oreo’s and ice cream. Imagine those two things combined together into a cupcake that you can eat in almost one bite. This food is really good and tasty, and gives you a sugary boost depending on the ice cream you put. My personal favorite type of ice cream is peppermint chocolate ice cream, what’s yours? I’ll ask in a poll. I know I will like this food because I LOVE ice cream and oreo’s, they are SUPER good.

ANYWAYS! I’m getting distracted. On with the opinion of the food! The food is super good, but I froze my cupcakes for about 6 and 1/2 hours. So they we’re very good and cold, and gave me a huge boost of energy for the morning.
