Week 22 of the NBA season is here and the top 3 teams this week include the dynamic duo of Kyle Lowry DeMar DeRozan and the red hot Toronto Raptors, the streaking Portland Trail Blazers that include Damian Lillard , and the potential MVP candidacy of James Harden and the rest of the Houston Rockets! Who will be #1 in this list as the regular season is soon coming to a close?
James Harden is one of the top MVP candidates this NBA season. But can he take the Rockets all the way to the Finals?

First off at #3 on this week’s power rankings is the Houston Rockets, the Houston Rockets have been absolutely outstanding(as expected) standing with a 53-14 record. One of their top scores are potential MVP candidate James Harden, Harden this season is putting up some amazing numbers averaging 31.0 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 8.7 assists per game. Alongside him is future hall of famer Chris Paul, Paul this season has only played 49 games this season and he is not what he used to be in LA. But he is still averaging a solid 18.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game. This dynamic duo can certainly take the Rockets this far, but can they take this dominant play to the playoffs and possibly a championship?

Damien Lillard and the rest of Rip-City are climbing up the rankings very quickly from last season. But can they keep climbing all the way to the Finals?

Next up at #2 we have the Portland Trail Blazers, the Trail Blazers this season have been off the charts this season as they have an opportunity to win their first 55-win season since 1999. One of their stars this season is Damian Lillard, Lillard this season is averaging 26.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game. Alongside him is his partner in crime who is CJ McCollum, McCollum this year has had an OK season, as he is averaging 21.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. This might be one of the best seasons yet for Portland, but can they take their first championship home since 1977?

DeMar DeRozan right now could be an MVP candidate with the type of basketball he’s playing. Can he continue that into the playoffs and possibly in the NBA Finals?

Finally at #1 we have the Toronto Raptors, this season was one of Toronto’s best seasons yet as they have a 50-17 record and a #1 spot in the Eastern Conference so far! Some of their top scorers include MVP candidate DeMar DeRozan, the 4-time NBA all-star this season is averaging 23.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. His teammate, Kyle Lowry is so far averaging 16.4 PPG, 5.6 RPG, and 6.7 assists per game. With all the success Toronto is going through, can they keep it up and bring home their first NBA Finals trophy in franchise history?
