The homecoming game has been a fun, beloved tradition for many years, and 2018 was no different. After the exciting parade, Briar Woods was destroyed by Stonebridge with a final score of 49 to 6.“StoneBridge crushed; running back Nick Mells had some great plays.” Said StoneBridge wide receiver, Luke Hughes.  The parade and game were enjoyable and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

StoneBridge is huddle around and ready for the coin toss. The coin toss has been a fair way to determine who gets the ball first, this has been a tradition for many years.

The parade, before the game, was filled with young kids who were super excited. The marching band, cheerleaders, and even members the student council all came out and passed out loads of candy. Everyone had smiles on their faces and some may have a stomach ache later from eating so much candy.

This was the banner for Stonebridge. It was a great way to start the parade.

At half time the marching band played songs that got the fans and players ready for the next half. Everyone including parents were having a great time. “The school’s spirit is overwhelming!”said Laura Lanham, a Trailside parent. During the second half Briar Woods was starting to lose hope, however they were still having a great time. “Yeah, we’re losing badly, but the game is still fun,” said Kylie Burns.

The marching band is performing in the parade. The marching band learned and played fun music.

The game was a sweaty and fun game for loads of people.Even though it was a blow   out Stonebridge and Briar Woods had a great time. StoneBridge is excited for next year and hopes to win.
