Ghouls and Goblins galore! Halloween is just around the corner, and Trailside was prepared for an all out night of fun and dancing, pictures, and contests. The 7th grade Halloween dance was a lot of fun, and 7th grade students had a scary good time with their friends.

At the dance there was a photo booth, where students could capture pictures of themselves and their friends at the dance. You could also use props to make your picture even cooler. “I liked saving memories with my friends,” 7th grader Emily Ault said.

Along with that was, of course, pizza, cookies, lollipops, and sour patch kids that no student could turn down. All of the scrumptious food was gone in a blink of an eye. “I liked the candy,” 7th grader Jessica Holleran said.

7th graders were dancing all throughout the night to the awesome music the DJ was playing.

The DJ at the dance was amazing, who blasted fun songs all night long. Some students just stayed on the floor the entire time. The DJ also took song requests throughout the night. Some of the choices were hilarious, while others were really unexpected. All the songs we just extremely hard not to dance to. It was just a burst of exotic genres and music all night long. Some song requests included I Like It by Cardi B, the Cha Cha Slide by DJ Casper, to the Macarena by Rafael Ruíz. “I liked a lot of the music because it got me excited,” 7th grader Sianna Eaves said.

Alana Talburt, Marah Burns, and Natalie Carolan dressed as an alien, a black cat, and a hippie for the dance.

Besides all the dancing, games, and food, there were costumes. People were dressed as Stitch, a lion, creepy doll, and many more. There was a costume contest that gave pumpkins to the creepiest costume to the most original. 7th grader Gabby Flamish and her two friends, Charlotte Young and Maria Vandermeulen, won the most original costume. “My friend’s and I were holy cows. We had halos on and cow t-shirts,” 7th grader Gabby Flamish said. “We won the most original contest, which was fun.”

The 7th grade Halloween dance was a night to remember for all the 7th graders who attended. From the costume contest to the photo booth, all the students had a fun night.
