I had first watched Catch me if you Can not knowing what to expect. One thing I did know, however, was that the title had brought me into watching the film for the first time. I wanted to dig deeper, and doing so resulted in why I am reviewing this award-winning movie now. Catch me if you Can is a such an amazing movie in many ways along with agreements of 95 percent of Google users.

Catch me if you Can stars Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks in an ongoing chase. Carl Hanratty, (Hanks), an experienced FBI agent, for the majority of the movie, is on the trail of despicable Frank Abagnale, Jr. (Dicaprio). During the film, Abagnale Jr. poses as many different people with extremely well-paid jobs, such as a P.A.W.A. Pilot, A doctor, and more. He pulled all of this off while getting away several times on different occasions from Hanratty. Abagnale Jr. was chased mainly for his crimes of check fraud. This is what the agent eventually caught him for, and Frank Abagnale Jr. was sent to jail. He did, however, end up helping the FBI identify check forgery.

Catch me if you Can is a very intriguing movie in my eyes because there is plainly so much to see and to understand. There is much to understand, but this does not mean that the movie is too complex. I found that once I had been able to get into the plot while watching the movie, I enjoyed and understood it better. Every detail in the movie is not difficult to figure out, and they all eventually lead up to the next turn in the story.

The film is said to be based on Frank Abagnale’s book, Catch me if you Can. The filmmakers easily just put Dicaprio as Abagnale and the story was basically reenacted from the book. In fact, the real Abagnale actually appeared in the movie as a cop. I had first seen the movie not knowing that it was based on a true story, let alone a book. I decided to watch the film again after previewing the book by the real Frank Abagnale. Frankly, it did not change the way that the movie strongly entertained me and kept me waiting for more.

Accompanied by great actor Tom Hanks, I thought Leonardo Dicaprio had very skilled acting with drama, comedy, and action, keeping me into the story the whole duration of the film. Hanks and Dicaprio worked very well together in this story. I know that Leo Dicaprio had starred in many movies before this, some much better rated. This movie in particular, though, happened to be the first movie I have seen Dicaprio star in. I usually prefer movies that show actors I know and love, but I was both surprised and impressed with this newcomer and now beloved actor to my book.
