The playoffs are right around the corner and football is getting more competitive than ever. While some teams are climbing up the ranks, others are just falling short and falling down. Fans are hoping there teams can step up there game and potentially clinch the playoffs.

The NFL is getting exciting so make sure you watch it before the playoffs start. Did you know that 64% of Americans watch football?

Now let’s take a look at our winners and losers of December

AFC Winner of December: Houston Texans

Coming off of a 7 point win against the New York Jets the Houston Texans only need one win to clinch a first-round bye. The Texans seem to be in good hands with the outstanding QB Deshaun Watson and a wide receiver who may be considered the best in the NFL( DeAndre Hopkins). The Texans defense excels with J.J. Watt and Tryon Mathieu. Looking forward the Texans have to play the Philadelphia Eagles and another easy game against the Jacksonville Jaguars

DeAndre Hopkins celebrates after scoring a game-winning touchdown. Hopkins may be considered the best Wide Receiver in the NFL.

NFC Winner of December:Dallas Cowboys

Even though they had a slow start, the Dallas Cowboys have come back strong. The Cowboys with 5 Pro Bowlers (Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, DeMarcus Lawrence, Ezekiel Elliott, and Byron Jones), an all-star offense, and an epic defense have really evolved since the beginning of the season by turning a 2-3 record all the way to 8-6 and take control of their division.

AFC Loser of December: Cincinnati Bengals

With All-Star WIde Receiver A.J. Green on Injury Reserve, the Cincinnati Bengals could not go too far in 2018. Although The Red Rifle (Andy Dalton) has 2,566 passing yards the Bengals Receivers can’t seem to catch a football. The Bengals only have one Pro Bowl selection (Geno Atkins) which provides reasons why they did so bad in 2018.
Here Andy Dalton ends up fumbling the football thanks to a bad offensive line. Although Andy Dalton did fairly well this season the team as a whole could not get it together.

NFC Loser of December: Arizona Cardinals

If you are tied with the worst record in the whole league, you know you are not up to much. That is the case of the Arizona Cardinals who are currently sitting at a record of 3-11. The Cardinals players could not seem to put the talent that they needed to put forth which provides as a reason for there madness and misery. The Cardinals were only able to send Patrick Peterson to the Pro Bowl which is not too good thinking that there are at least 22 starters on every Pro Football Team.

Rookie Josh Ren gets sacked by All-Star Joey Bosa. Rosen with not much experience could not handle the job that he was assigned to do.

Football is getting more and more interesting as we reach the playoffs so don’t wait to watch it. Cheer for your teams and have fun with the rest of the season.
