The NBA playoffs are just around the corner with only 26 remaining teams in playoff contention. Some of the teams that could potentially make a run in the playoffs are the Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets, the Golden State Warriors, and the Houston Rockets. But out of the 5 which one will make that run into the NBA Finals?

Coming in at number 5 is the Houston Rockets, the Rockets this year have been plagued with injuries but are still in the top 5 in the NBA because of the brilliance of James Harden. We all know about James Harden with the endless records that he has broken which include scoring 30+ points 30 games in a row and many others. James Harden has also been scoring….. a lot! He is averaging 35.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game. To me, this is crazy stats and I truly think this might be another MVP season from James Harden. But can James Harden keep this level of play and lead his team to another playoff appearance?
Rockets SG James Harden celebrating after a 3 pointer. James Harden this season has proved that he is possibly one of the greatest shooters in NBA in history, hitting shot after shot.

Next at number 4 is the Denver Nuggets, the Nuggets this year have been very consistent with a 46-22 record as of now. One of their top players is Jamal Murray, who at the beginning of the season he was expected to make a huge leap into becoming an all-star for the first time. But sadly he still is averaging about 18 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game. He has been a key player into the Nuggets successful season. But can the Nuggets continue this amazing season and make the playoffs for the first time since 2013?

Coming in at number 3 is Golden State Warriors, the Warriors this season have been as expected but during the past couple games, the Warriors have been a little bit off going 5-5 in that span. But with the absence of Kevin Durant, the Warriors have been actually doing pretty good as they are on a 2 game win streak with wins against the Thunder and a win against the Rockets. One of their key players in the success of their season is the emergence of Stephen Curry. Recently in the past 2 seasons, Curry has been in the shadow of Kevin Durant but this season he has finally emerged as an MVP again. He is averaging 27.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. He is also doing well shooting wise averaging 47 percent from 2 and 42 percent from 3. But will Stephen Curry and the Warriors continue this level of play and reach the finals for the 5th time in a row?

Warriors PG Stephen Curry shooting a 3 pointer. Stephen Curry this season has been more of an alpha dog on the Warriors then Kevin Durant with the number of points he scores every night.

Next at number 2 is the Toronto Raptors, the Toronto Raptors this season have been as expected with a 50-21 record currently. But from the start of the season, they have been under the shadow of the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors but are still one of the top teams in the NBA. One of their top players currently is SF Kawhi Leonard, Leonard this season have been in and out with injury, only playing 51 out of the 71 games so far. But has still played extremely well averaging 27.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. Another star on the Raptors is PF Pascal Siakam, Siakam this season has been very productive and yet very underrated as he is averaging 16.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, and about 1 steal per game. But can the Raptors make a run into the playoffs and make their first NBA Finals in franchise history?

Finally, at number 1, we have the Milwaukee Bucks, the Bucks this season have been a top the NBA with a record of 53-18, placing 1st in the Eastern Conference. One of the top players on the Bucks roster is Giannis Antetokounmpo, who this season has been unguardable inside the paint which might also bring him the MVP Honors. He is averaging 27.5 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 6 assists per game. That is usually considered to be amazing stats, but it gets even better because he is only on the floor about 33 minutes per game, which compared to other players with the same stats, is amazing! But can the Bucks finish the season strong and win a playoff series for the first time since 2001?

Overall, the NBA through 23 weeks has been absolutely chaotic with multiple teams contending for a playoff spot. The next few weeks will be very important to most teams trying to contend. But out of the 26 teams remaining who will be the one to take home the championship? Will it be the Golden State Warriors, or maybe it could be the Toronto Raptors, or possibly it could be the Milwaukee Bucks?
