His mother was killed in front of him and his father was blamed for her murder. Scared and frustrated, Barry Allen wants to help the world be a safer place. Barry decides to become a forensic scientist and help the police catch criminals. The opening of a new science project at star labs creates a bolt of lightning that hits him and he blacks out. After being in a coma for nine months, he discovers that he has super speed. He then goes on to becoming the Flash to avenge his mother’s death.

The show is very intense with a lot of action. What I find the most interesting is how they make the speedsters fight. The people that fight are actually completely computer-generated images (CGI). This can be good for the actors and stuntmen and women because they don’t have to get hurt, but it doesn’t give it the super realistic look. What I find interesting about this show, and also in most science fiction shows, is that every season, it gets darker. More and more of the main characters take huge risks or switch sides like in (SPOILER ALERT!) Season Three. This is one of my favorite shows that I watch. For me, it is tied with Arrow.

My rating ⅘ stars.
