While we are sad that Mrs. Keyes is leaving us here at Trailside; Mrs. Keyes is looking forward to starting this new adventure in her life. Michael Robinson said, “I’m gonna be really sad, but also happy for her. She had helped with a lot throughout this year.”

Mrs. Keyes said, “You’re teacher’s goal is simple.. to help you reach yours. I wanted to be a teacher because I enjoyed working with young children, I found that out in a class in college, I’ve now been working as a teacher for over 20 years. ” Ella Bazemore said, “She’s a very nice teacher and I’ve had her as a teacher since preschool. If you don’t understand something, she’ll teach it again, but slower the next time.” Ms. Hoag said, “What I’ll miss most about her is how she lightens up every moment and her being my room partner. My favorite memory with her is when she dressed up as Squirtle for halloween.”

“I wanted to work at Trailside because I thought it would be exciting to be at a new school, and I’ve never taught a middle school before. I’ll miss my students, especially the ones I’ve known since preschool.”

“I’ll miss her personality. My favorite time with her was on game day.” said Joshua Pugh. “She’s an inspiration to all teachers,” said Mrs. Skarupa. Leyla Salazar said, “What I’ll miss most about Ms. Keyes is her kindness. I’m upset that she is leaving because she would help me with everything.” “When I read, I can sometimes get stuck on a word, but I can always count on Mrs. Keyes to help me,” said Kevin Hernandez.

“I have mixed feelings about retiring because I’ll miss all my students and the people that I work with. After I retire I’m looking forward to traveling, but I hope to come back and visit.”

Here are some of the student’s that Mrs. Keyes teaches at Trailside. They all will miss her very much and hopes she comes back to visit.
